Menifee Restaurants | The Texas Roadhouse

Got Steak? The city of Menifee finally does!  The Texas Roadhouse restaurant in Menifee is now open for business, and I have to say I’m not disappointed!  My wife and I joined some family and friends for dinner last Thursday night and had to try the newest Menifee Restaurant. The atmostphere was incredible, definitely a family joint.  As soon as you step through the door you know you’re in for a night of good food and great service.

The place was booming with country music and a dancing staff as we came through the front doors. We were promptly greeted by 3 waitresses that took our names and told us about the half hour wait. With all these people I didn’t believe it would only be a half hour but it was. We enjoyed peanuts and football on the T.V. in the waiting area as we patiently waited for a good meal. Once seated our waitress quickly took our drink orders and brought over freshly made dinner rolls with cinnamon butter. My wife thought it was the coolest thing when the staff dropped what they were doing every half hour and performed line dancing to what ever tune was on the radio.

Even more impressive was the food!  We started with the baby blossom and the cheese fries, which easily feed all six of us and was only about 10 dollars.  We then moved onto the main course.   Most of us ordered a steak with the exception of one chicken fried steak and a chicken ceasar salad.  I ordered the 10 oz. Ribeye with the grilled shrimp. I wasn’t sure if a 10 oz. was going to be big enough but with the appetizers, large sides, and the grilled shrimp I didn’t even finish my steak.  As they say “everything’s bigger in Texas” and you can see why.  My ribeye was medium-well and sauteed with mushrooms, onions and jack cheese…mmm heart attack waiting to happen! LOL!  It was definitely the best steak I’ve had in a long time.  You get your choice of two sides with every order, so I chose the mashed potatoes and rice.  Everything tasted as if it were homemade.  Everything we ordered was ample in size and the quality of the food was tremendous!

I really think I didn’t finish because I filled up on the appetizers and the waitress was on top of her game keeping our drinks filled to the brim. For the new king of Menifee restaurants, pricing isn’t too bad.  Most steaks range between $9 & $22. View Menu  We walked out paying about $120 for six adults and a child.  Usually when a restaurant in Menifee opens you’re not sure if the food is really good or if it’s just something  new and different.  As an avid steak lover, though, I can tell you the quality at The Texas Roadhouse is top notch!

Flame Broiler is Opening and Hiring in Temecula

Flame Broiler is opening in Temecula! Flame Broiler is opening in Temecula!  I was out to lunch yesterday with my wife and youngest daughter.  Where, you ask?  We went to Chipotle and enjoyed some awesome burritos.  While walking through the parking lot we noticed a “Now Hiring” sign on the door at the new Flame Broiler in Temecula.

I was feeling adventurous, so I went to investigate to see if details were posted.  Details such as, opening date and the positions they are hiring for.  No, I’m not looking for another job, being a Temecula Realtor isn’t that bad.  HaHa!  I figured I could pass along the info cause I’m such a nice guy.  I was disappointed to see just the “Now Hiring” sign on the door without any other info.

After getting over my disappointment, I wiped my tears and put on my detective hat.  I know there is a Flame Broiler in Murrieta (in the Sam’s Club Shopping Center) so I made the assumption (yes, I know what happens when you assume) that the Temecula location would some how be connected to the Murrieta location.  I closed my eyes and clicked my heels together three times and bam, my assumption was correct!

I had the privilege of talking with Saeez, he’s the manager of the Flame Broiler in Murrieta.  He gave me the scoop and told me the tentative open date for the Flame Broiler in Temecula is this Friday, November 18, 2011.  I’ll confirm this as we near this date and update the Live Temecula Valley Facebook Page.  Saeez also told me that they will be hiring cashiers and kitchen staff.  If you’re interested in applying, you can visit the Murrieta location and pick up an application.

The Temecula location is located at:  40573 Margarita Rd, 92591 next to Ryan Bros Coffee and Wine Bistro.

This is Ryan Smith signing off until next time……

Texas Roadhouse Opening in Menifee, CA

Texas roadhouse opening in menifeeEvery time I drive by the new Texas Roadhouse restaurant, I get more and more excited. It seems to be that way anytime a new restaurant comes to Menifee. Local Menifee residents can only handle so much Red Robin and Yellow Basket. Well, there’s always the 20 minute  ride to Temecula  in Friday night traffic to catch something different if you’re up for it.  So when the Texas Roadhouse opens in December it will be a welcomed change to dinner night out in Menifee.

|Menifee Grand Opening is scheduled for December 12, 2011|

The Texas Roadhouse is a restaurant chain that started in Clarksville, Indiana in 1993. They now have well over 300 locations nationwide. The Menifee restaurant plans to have a VIP night in which Ryan and I will attend to give you the heads up on the food and service. Just from looking at their website it appears they specialize in steaks, ribs, bbq chicken, and an assortment of country dinners and home cooked sides. Currently there isn’t a menu for the Menifee restaurant but I pulled one from the location in Fairfield, California to give you an idea.  Fairfield Menu

Once we have the opportunity to taste the food, we will update our blog and Facebook Page. I did check out the Yelp reviews for the restaurant in Fairfield, CA. They have a respectable 3 1/2 stars (if you buy into Yelp) on average with over 220 reviews. Again, not sure if we will get the same menu here in Menifee, but whatever it is it will be a welcome change to the stuff we’ve been gnawing on since the restaurants across the street (At The Countryside Market Place) opened up a few years back!  To visit the Texas Roadhouse website go to http://www.texasroadhouse.com

Add a little spice to your dinner at the Thai Kitchen

It’s tough to get authentic ethnic food, especially in the Inland Empire. Most travel to San Diego or the O.C. the find a meal that reminds them of home. Personally I am a spicy food fanatic! Those who like spicy food know Thai food is a great way to get those firey taste buds quenched.

The Thai Kitchen in the heart of Temecula does just that. Spicy but seriously authentic. I personally love the Spicy Mint or the Basil and Chili dishes. Both are great with beef or pork and be sure to get your spice level at a five or six to give it a little kick! (the waitress will ask how hot you want it on a scale of 1 to 5). If your not a fan of the hotness like myself, my wife loves the yellow curry with chicken at 1 level and the kids always have the Pad See Iw which is a great sweet noodle dish with fried rice and your choice of meat. Be sure to try the Thai coffee, it’s an ice cold drink that works great as an after dinner relaxer to have with the fried banana and ice cream desert!!

The setting is a small mom and pop shop that is decorated with artifacts from the Thai culture.  Service is great and your can feed a family of four for less than 50 bucks. Be sure to visit http://www.thaikitchentemecula.com/thaikitchen/coupon.htm for a discount of your dinner at the Thai Kitchen.

If your an avid Thai food lover or just looking for something different, you can’t go wrong with the Thai kitchen. Their great Thai cuisine and excellent service makes them a great alternative to burgers and fries at an equally intising price! Be sure to let them know Chris from Live Temecula Valley sent you!

CiCi’s Pizza Opening Soon!

Have you seen the commercials for CiCi’s Pizza, featuring the endless buffet filled with pizza, pasta, salad and dessert at an unbelievable price?  My husband and I have seen them many times, and heard our stomachs start growling.  We even went online and tried to find the nearest location.  We were bummed when we learned we would have to drive at least an hour to the closest one.

So you can imagine how excited we were when we discovered that they are opening one right here in Murrieta!  The new location is going to be in the Vons shopping center at the corner of Murrieta Hot Springs Rd. and Winchester Rd.

I contacted the company and was told that the tentative opening is scheduled for Feb. 28.  They told me that anticipated opening dates can sometimes change, so I will be checking back with them next week to confirm the grand opening date, and I will keep you posted!

For more information about CiCi’s Pizza, please visit their website here.  (Please note that the Murrieta location doesn’t show up on their “location finder” yet.)

The Flame Broiler Makes Fast Food Healthy

I have always been a big fan of teriyaki chicken. It has been a healthy alternative to a hamburger in my book for many years now. I have memories of my friends and I going to our favorite hole in the wall chicken joint back in High School when we were all conscious of what we were eating to stay in shape for football.

Now back then I did not really know the differences between chicken with skin on and chicken with skin off or if there was even an option of ordering brown rice. Now that I am a little older I do know the difference and at The Flame Broiler it is what they specialize in. I have enjoyed going to locations that are in the Orange and Corona for many years now and now found the one located right here in Murrieta at 40444 Murrieta Hot Springs Rd, Suite #103, Murrieta, CA. This is in the Sam’s Club parking lot.

The Flame Broiler is a franchise business that started here in Southern California in city of Fullerton by Young Lee. Young Lee was a student at UCLA and found himself looking for an alternative from fast food during his busy school schedule. So he opened the first restaurant in 1995 in the city of Fullerton and has opened a total of 82 different locations since.

I notice that when you go into one they mostly look the same. The menus look the same as far as I can tell and each one has been very clean. I usually order the Chicken Bowl with brown rice and green onions. Which is awesome as it is but here is my favorite part about my order… They let you put on as much of their Magic Sauce (a kind of teriyaki sauce) and their Hot Sauce as you want!!! Some of you know that I am the Condiment King so this is a big plus for me. Although the food is flavored very nicely without adding all the extras, I can’t resist though. Which I am sure increases all the nutritional values that they so conveniently label right next to all the items on the menu.

So if you are looking for a fast food alternative with no MSG, no skin, no frying and no trans fat then The Flame Broiler is a must try. You will not be disappointed and tell them you were referred there by Mike Knutson from LiveTemeculaValley.com.
