Are You Looking for Things to do in Temecula? WWII Vintage Aircraft Will Be Flying Over Temecula Valley this May!!!
If you’re looking for things to do in Temecula/Murrieta, you won’t want to miss this. WWII Aircraft including a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress “Nine O Nine” heavy bomber, a Consolidated B-24 Liberator “Witchcraft” heavy bomber and a North American P-51 Mustang will by flying over Temecula Valley on May 2-4; thanks to The Collings Foundation for bringing its Wings of Freedom tour to French Valley Airport in Murrieta.
I didn’t get a chance to visit the airport and enjoy this show last year, but I can remember those awesome pieces of history flying overhead. I recall sitting at my son’s soccer practice and hearing the loud thunderous roar from the Consolidated B-24 Liberator. It was epic! I could only imagine what enemy forces were thinking as they heard these bombers flying overhead.
The B-17 included in the display is one of ten in flying condition in the United States, the B-24 and P-51 are the sole remaining examples of their type flying in the world.
How cool would it be to tour these up close and personal? Well guess what? You can! Visitors will be able to tour these unique and rare treasures of aviation history inside and out!
The display and tours will be May 2 from 2 to 5 p.m., May 3 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and May 4 from 9 a.m. to noon at the French Valley Airport.
Up-close viewing and a tour of the inside of the aircraft is $12/adults and $6 for children under 12. WWII veterans can tour at no cost.
For more information and options available at this show, visit www.cfdn.org or call (800) 568-8924.
Did you know the B-24 still holds the distinction as the most produced American Military Aircraft?
I’ll be sure to make it out to this great event with my family this year! If you’re looking for something fun for your family to do in Temecula or Murrieta, I would definitely put this on the list.

Menifee Restaurants | The Texas Roadhouse
Got Steak? The city of Menifee finally does! The Texas Roadhouse restaurant in Menifee is now open for business, and I have to say I’m not disappointed! My wife and I joined some family and friends for dinner last Thursday night and had to try the newest Menifee Restaurant. The atmostphere was incredible, definitely a family joint. As soon as you step through the door you know you’re in for a night of good food and great service.
The place was booming with country music and a dancing staff as we came through the front doors. We were promptly greeted by 3 waitresses that took our names and told us about the half hour wait. With all these people I didn’t believe it would only be a half hour but it was. We enjoyed peanuts and football on the T.V. in the waiting area as we patiently waited for a good meal. Once seated our waitress quickly took our drink orders and brought over freshly made dinner rolls with cinnamon butter. My wife thought it was the coolest thing when the staff dropped what they were doing every half hour and performed line dancing to what ever tune was on the radio.
Even more impressive was the food! We started with the baby blossom and the cheese fries, which easily feed all six of us and was only about 10 dollars. We then moved onto the main course. Most of us ordered a steak with the exception of
one chicken fried steak and a chicken ceasar salad. I ordered the 10 oz. Ribeye with the grilled shrimp. I wasn’t sure if a 10 oz. was going to be big enough but with the appetizers, large sides, and the grilled shrimp I didn’t even finish my steak. As they say “everything’s bigger in Texas” and you can see why. My ribeye was medium-well and sauteed with mushrooms, onions and jack cheese…mmm heart attack waiting to happen! LOL! It was definitely the best steak I’ve had in a long time. You get your choice of two sides with every order, so I chose the mashed potatoes and rice. Everything tasted as if it were homemade. Everything we ordered was ample in size and the quality of the food was tremendous!
I really think I didn’t finish because I filled up on the appetizers and the waitress was on top of her game keeping our drinks filled to the brim. For the new king of Menifee restaurants, pricing isn’t too bad. Most steaks range between $9 & $22. View Menu We walked out paying about $120 for six adults and a child. Usually when a restaurant in Menifee opens you’re not sure if the food is really good or if it’s just something new and different. As an avid steak lover, though, I can tell you the quality at The Texas Roadhouse is top notch!
Thanks for listening!

Flame Broiler is Opening and Hiring in Temecula

Flame Broiler is opening in Temecula! Flame Broiler is opening in Temecula! I was out to lunch yesterday with my wife and youngest daughter. Where, you ask? We went to Chipotle and enjoyed some awesome burritos. While walking through the parking lot we noticed a “Now Hiring” sign on the door at the new Flame Broiler in Temecula.
I was feeling adventurous, so I went to investigate to see if details were posted. Details such as, opening date and the positions they are hiring for. No, I’m not looking for another job, being a Temecula Realtor isn’t that bad. HaHa! I figured I could pass along the info cause I’m such a nice guy. I was disappointed to see just the “Now Hiring” sign on the door without any other info.
After getting over my disappointment, I wiped my tears and put on my detective hat. I know there is a Flame Broiler in Murrieta (in the Sam’s Club Shopping Center) so I made the assumption (yes, I know what happens when you assume) that the Temecula location would some how be connected to the Murrieta location. I closed my eyes and clicked my heels together three times and bam, my assumption was correct!
I had the privilege of talking with Saeez, he’s the manager of the Flame Broiler in Murrieta. He gave me the scoop and told me the tentative open date for the Flame Broiler in Temecula is this Friday, November 18, 2011. I’ll confirm this as we near this date and update the Live Temecula Valley Facebook Page. Saeez also told me that they will be hiring cashiers and kitchen staff. If you’re interested in applying, you can visit the Murrieta location and pick up an application.
The Temecula location is located at: 40573 Margarita Rd, 92591 next to Ryan Bros Coffee and Wine Bistro.

Texas Roadhouse Opening in Menifee, CA
Every time I drive by the new Texas Roadhouse restaurant, I get more and more excited. It seems to be that way anytime a new restaurant comes to Menifee. Local Menifee residents can only handle so much Red Robin and Yellow Basket. Well, there’s always the 20 minute ride to Temecula in Friday night traffic to catch something different if you’re up for it. So when the Texas Roadhouse opens in December it will be a welcomed change to dinner night out in Menifee.
|Menifee Grand Opening is scheduled for December 12, 2011|
The Texas Roadhouse is a restaurant chain that started in Clarksville, Indiana in 1993. They now have well over 300 locations nationwide. The Menifee restaurant plans to have a VIP night in which Ryan and I will attend to give you the heads up on the food and service. Just from looking at their website it appears they specialize in steaks, ribs, bbq chicken, and an assortment of country dinners and home cooked sides. Currently there isn’t a menu for the Menifee restaurant but I pulled one from the location in Fairfield, California to give you an idea. Fairfield Menu
Once we have the opportunity to taste the food, we will update our blog and Facebook Page. I did check out the Yelp reviews for the restaurant in Fairfield, CA. They have a respectable 3 1/2 stars (if you buy into Yelp) on average with over 220 reviews. Again, not sure if we will get the same menu here in Menifee, but whatever it is it will be a welcome change to the stuff we’ve been gnawing on since the restaurants across the street (At The Countryside Market Place) opened up a few years back!
